  Sunday School for children is held at 9:30
AM, concurrent with our Traditional Worship Service. During the school
year, we have classes for 3 and 4 year olds to PreK; First and Second graders; Third graders; Fourth and Fifth graders;
Sixth through Eighth graders; and Ninth through Twelfth graders. During the summer, classes are combined as necessary.
Each year, Vacation Bible School draws around one
hundred children from throughout the community for a week of fun and learning. Our Cherub Choir always raises a very
"joyful noise to the Lord." The Cherub Choir practices during Sunday School and sings monthly at the Traditional
Worship Service and occasionally at local nursing homes.
Periodically, we have special events for children
and families. Some of our past events include Children's Days, Breakfasts with Santa, Easter Egg
Hunts, Ice Cream Socials, and Fall Festivals. AUMC sponsors a vibrant and growing Preschool for 2½ through 4 year olds. A professional staff provides appropriate age-
level developmental instruction. A weekly chapel session with one of our Pastors helps familiarize the children with
the basic principles of Christianity. AUMC also supports a scholarship fund to assist with tuition needs.
AUMC is also home to Cub Scout Pack #759, Boy
Scout Troop #759, Venture Scout Troop #759, and Sea Scout Ship #759.
