We believe that you are a beloved child of God, created in God's image. You are welcome here, whether you're a life long church-goer or brand new to church, whether you are young or old, single or married or divorced, gay or straight, joyful or grieving. Come just as you are. Feel free to bring questions and doubts- it's all welcome here.

 

Worship at Ashton is traditional-ish. We have a choir and sing both traditional hymns and some that have been written more recently. We have bulletins and also project words on the screen to make it easy to sing and read. On the first Sunday of each month, we celebrate Holy Communion, which is open to everyone. You don't need to be a member of AUMC or any church - all who would like to feast with Christ are welcome. The method for receiving communion (dipping bread in juice) is explained in worship. We also have gluten free wafers and a designated gluten free cup.

 

There is a nursery available for children three and younger. There is Sunday School for children from preschool through high school. Children are invited to begin worship with families and then head to Sunday School after the children's message. Children of all ages are also welcome to stay in worship - their joyful noise is welcome.
